project 52, week one.

And so it begins. A new year, a new decade.

This first week of 2011 was eventful, to say the least. Hubby and I faced a lot of vehicle drama. Shelly, my little "shell" of a car, was, as we discovered, sicker than we even thought, and definitely on her last leg, which wasn't good. My mother had surgery, probably her last, to give her a new dialysis access. And my kidlets, all three of them, were experiencing varying levels of under-the-weather-ness.

In spite of all of that, I excitedly embarked upon my new photo project, hoping to get some gems this week. What I got I wouldn't necessarily call gems, but I'm not bothered. I know that every week won't be a platinum hit.

I'm still happy with the shots, especially the family ones, because of the subject.
